Before hitting the road, do you really know if your bike is in good condition?

Every year, thousands of cyclists hit the road without really knowing the mechanical condition of their bikes. Worn-out tires, worn-out brakes, a drivetrain nearing the end of its life, play in the steering—these are all minor issues that can quickly turn into safety hazards or lead to costly repairs.

To help cycling enthusiasts better understand their bikes and develop the right habits, éklore Sport & Technics invites you to a special OPEN HOUSE event this morning.

A master class on how to recognize warning signs

A highlight of this morning’s session will be a master class led by an expert bicycle mechanics instructor, who will answer a question that many cyclists ask themselves:

"When should I take my bike to a professional?"

For nearly an hour, participants will learn about the essential checks to perform before every ride, learn to recognize signs of wear or malfunction that require attention, and leave with simple tips for extending the life of their bike.

On the agenda:

  • Essential checks to make before hitting the road or trails.

  • Warning signs.

  • Proper maintenance tips to keep your bike in good condition.

  • Situations in which the assistance of a mechanic is essential.

A practical approach that's accessible to everyone—whether you're a daily commuter, a recreational cyclist, or a mountain biking or road cycling enthusiast.

Take a Look Behind the Scenes at Careers in the Cycling Industry

This morning will also be an opportunity to explore a place that is rarely open to the general public.

Visitors will be able to explore the technical workshops where future cycling professionals are trained, tour the educational shop, talk with the teaching staff, and gain a better understanding of the jobs currently available in the cycling industry.

For several years now, éklore Sport & Technics (formerly CNPC Sport) has been working with sports retailers, specialty bike shops, distribution networks, and manufacturers in the cycling industry to train technicians and sales specialists capable of keeping pace with a rapidly growing market, driven in particular by the rise of electric bikes and sustainable transportation.

The training programs offered enable participantsto acquire recognized skills in mechanics, maintenance, diagnostics, customer service, and the marketing of sports equipment.

A training program that is also open to the general public

In addition to professional training courses, éklore Sport & Technics also offers “Check Vélo,” a short, one-day (7-hour) course designed for individuals who want to learn how to maintain their own bikes, perform basic checks, ride safely, and recognize when they need to consult a bike professional.

A way to make bicycle mechanics accessible to everyone and to promote more sustainable cycling.
