Studying abroad

Plan your trip and travel stress-free!

International experiences are among the highlights of a student’s life.Immersing yourself in a foreign culture and language, attending classes with students of all nationalities, and encountering new situations are key elements that help you build your confidence and adaptability. These experiences are also essential for demonstrating your physical and intellectual flexibility.

Gaining international experience also means understanding the economic, geopolitical, and climate-related challenges that will help you become an accomplished manager and a catalyst for change.

Regardless of whether you’re pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree, when you come to study at éklore-ed, you’ll have the opportunity to study abroad at one of our partner universities.

We will present you with all available opportunities and guide you through every step of the process to help you prepare for your move abroad, taking into account your personal and/or professional goals.

When is the best time to go?

For the Bachelor's degree

  • Year 2 (second semester) or

  • Year 3 (full academic year as part of a dual degree program)

In the Master's program

  • Year 1 (second semester)

  • Year 2 (full academic year as part of a dual degree program in Dublin)

How do you choose a host university?

Study abroad programs are presented each year. This event is a friendly gathering where students share their experiences with us

Overview of all universities

All universities are reviewed during a quick " speed dating "-style presentation: What courses are offered? In what language? What are the language requirements? What is the academic calendar? Where can students live? Do they need a visa? What is the cost of living? Information sessions organized by geographic region are also scheduled so that every student is well-informed before making a decision.

Digital information available 24 hours a day

All information is posted on the éklore-ed Blackboard platform. Each university has its own profile page. This page summarizes the key details you need to know: academic calendar, courses, assessment methods, housing, insurance, cost of living, and visas. Other materials provided by the university are also available on this platform.

Expressing good wishes

It’s time to choose your destination! Each student lists three preferred destinations in order of preference. Thanks to the number of partner universities and available spots, 95% of students are accepted into their first-choice school.

How do I apply to a foreign university?

First, students are grouped by destination to review the specifics of their chosen university and then begin the enrollment process: registering with the university, selecting and enrolling in courses, booking housing, applying for a visa, and arranging insurance and vaccinations if necessary. Nothing is left to chance, and students are never left to fend for themselves.

How do I choose my classes?

For each university, a list of courses approved by the academic administration is provided based on the level of study. From there, students select their courses according to their career goals, while adhering to the requirement of 30 ECTS credits per semester (or the equivalent depending on the geographic region).

What is the process like when enrolling at a foreign university?

More and more universities are offering a mentoring program. You will be assigned a mentor who will assist you throughout your stay.

All universities organize " Welcome Days or Weeks " to help you get acquainted with your new surroundings. You’ll always be surrounded by other international students, and that’s when your experience really begins!

Throughout your stay, the international office at your host university will handle all arrangements, but you will remain in contact with the eklore-ed office, which will continue to provide support whenever you need it.

Feedback and satisfaction survey

At the end of their study abroad program, students are asked to complete a satisfaction survey covering both the coordination of their departure and their host university.

A way for éklore-ed to better tailor its initiatives and gain a deeper understanding of its academic partners.

In 2023, 100% of students were satisfied with their study abroad experience, and 93% appreciated the support provided by éklore-ed.

Do I have to pay tuition at a foreign university?

No, because all our agreements are based on reciprocal exchange. Students pay their tuition fees to éklore-ed and do not pay anything to the host university.

Are there any mobility grants available?

All students are eligible to apply for a grant funded by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Council or an Erasmus+ grant, and they receive assistance with the application process.
