A route that’s accessible to everyone, so you can ride with peace of mind!

Taking Care of Your Bike

Learn the right techniques for maintaining your bike, extending its lifespan, and riding with peace of mind. A well-maintained bike means more fun and fewer headaches!

Understanding Your Equipment

Familiarize yourself with the essential equipment and accessories you need to ride safely. You don’t need to be an expert—you just need to know the basics of bike mechanics to develop the right habits.

Take charge of your own safety

Because riding a well-maintained bike also means staying safe: pay close attention to the condition of your equipment, ride responsibly, learn to spot mechanical hazards, and build confidence—for yourself and for others.

A 4-step program for safe driving

Understanding bicycle laws and traffic regulations

To drive safely, you must also follow the rules! This first step allows you to:

  • Understand your rights and responsibilities as a cyclist.

  • Identify the required equipment (lights, bell, vest, etc.).

  • Understand the specific traffic rules for cyclists: right of way, bike lanes, traffic signs, and proper behavior.

Goal: to get around safely and legally, for your safety and that of others.

Create a product sheet for your bike

A bike is like an ID card: the better you know it, the better you take care of it. In this section, you’ll learn how to:

  • Identify the key components of your bike (brakes, drivetrain, frame, wheels, etc.).

  • Create a custom technical data sheet: model, serial number, specific settings, service history.

Goal: to have all the information you need to maintain, insure, or even recover your bike in case of theft.

Finding the Right Position on Your Bike

A proper fit means riding comfortably, avoiding pain… and improving your safety. This module helps you:

  • Adjust the seat height, handlebar height, and the position of the brake levers.

  • Understanding the effects of poor posture (fatigue, loss of control, discomfort).

Goal: Adopt a riding position that suits your body type for smooth, safe pedaling.

Check, adjust, and maintain your bike's safety features

Squeaky brakes? Chain skipping? Don't leave anything to chance. You'll learn how to:

  • Check the essentials before every trip (brakes, tires, lights, steering).

  • Perform basic adjustments and routine maintenance.

  • Recognize the signs of wear and know when to call a professional.

Goal: To ensure your safety every day with a reliable, well-maintained bike.

All of our training programs are accessible and designed to accommodate participants with disabilities.

Discussing disability as early as the recruitment phase is often a key step toward a successful training program.

Being aware of a learner’s disability means being able to design a training program that takes into account their needs and the resources required to support their learning journey. Therefore, it is advisable to consider a learner’s disability as early as the registration phase.
