Waste sorting has been in place for several years on the Pau campus, in partnership with Elise Atlantique, a socially responsible company that handles waste collection and recycling. The goal is to expand this initiative to all five campuses and introduce cigarette butt sorting using dedicated receptacles. This effort requires support through communication and awareness-raising campaigns.
When it comes to the environment, éklore-ed carries out initiatives both indoors and outdoors. Shrek is the nickname given to the group of employees eager to bring greenery to common areas. Several phases of greening have been completed on the Pau campus, and other campuses are moving in this direction. As for outdoor spaces, the Pau campus is situated in the heart of the largest urban green space; an exceptional site in terms of biodiversity, featuring trees that are hundreds of years old. This is why a planning process was carried out in consultation with the Pau Urban Community and the ESAT du Hameau, which handles its maintenance. The result is a multi-step approach toward eco-management of green spaces: implementing differentiated management of green spaces by limiting mowing in certain areas to promote biodiversity, and seeding a summer flower meadow as the first step.
Climat Work Out for employees and students: a fun way to raise awareness about environmental issues.
Mobility: Environmental issues are also a key concern when it comes to commuting, particularly the commute between home and work. We have signed a three-year agreement with the Pau Metropolitan Area’s Joint Mobility Authority to promote sustainable transportation. We have implemented the Employer Mobility Plan. Bike racks have been installed at all éklore-ed locations. Bicycle repair and maintenance training and workshops are offered by our cycling instructors for employees. Meetings on the topic of mobility with our partners: the Agglomeration’s Mobility Department, Idelis. Electric bike test rides, explanations of how the new Idécycle stations work, tips and tricks. Participation in events such as “May by Bike,” the Mobility Challenge...
OEPV certification(Employer Pro Vélo) for all eklore-ed sites by 2025: Meylan: Gold Label – Pau, Bizanos, Saint-Denis: Silver Medal.
Citizenship / Solidarity
Promoting blood and plasma donation involves: organizing awareness-raising activities for students, promoting EFS campaigns across all our campuses, and allowing staff and students to donate during work hours and class time.
Collect bottle caps to support the charity Les Bouchons d’amour, which works tirelessly to promote inclusion by providing adaptive equipment to people with disabilities. A simple yet meaningful gesture in three steps: remove the cap from the plastic bottle () before throwing it away, save the caps, and finally place them in the provided container. They will be sent to the association’s headquarters for a new life! Some information to motivate this effort: “When you leave the PE plastic cap on the PET plastic bottle, the cap becomes waste because recyclers prioritize the bottle, which brings them 3 to 4 times more revenue—about €800 per ton—compared to less than €200 per ton for the caps… For many years, the association Les Bouchons d’Amour has raised €300,000 annually to improve the living conditions of people with disabilities.”

Well-being & Health, at work, during one's academic career
Addressing important issues and laying the groundwork for success, the Student Health Prevention Program is now being implemented. These topics are addressed in various ways with the support of our partners:
- Interactive workshops: addiction, discrimination, inclusion, environmental health
- Lectures and panel discussions: Pierre Emmanuel ROZIER, child psychiatrist and addiction specialist at the Pau General Hospital. Listen to the podcast here
- In partnership with PRISSM, approximately 40 employees received training on working at computer screens, which led to office rearrangements, adjustments to equipment, and changes in work habits.
- Exhibition, survey, and message board on mental health, a student-led project supported by éklore-ed
- Installation of menstrual product dispensers to address period poverty
All of its themes are related to mental health issues—a national priority for 2025—which are addressed indirectly.

Inclusion / Diversity
The Accessibility Charter commits éklore, a disability-inclusive training group; our disability liaisons are working to raise awareness and educate staff and learners about disability in general, fostering a more nuanced understanding of existing and emerging challenges. We go a step further by integrating this dimension into our sales techniques courses to enable future sales professionals to provide a welcoming environment and high-quality support for people with disabilities.
At the European level, SEEPH has marked the third week of November every year for nearly 30 years as an opportunity to take stock of employment for people with disabilities, highlight progress and successes, and point out the path that still lies ahead toward a more inclusive society. This year, éklore-ed:
- participates in Duo-Day by hosting a person with a disability for a one-day introductory work experience at a workplace.
- welcomes Grégory Mouyen, a top-level athlete with a disability, for a talk in which he shares his story. Listen to Grégory Mouyen’s podcast here
"Amorce de parcours," a program funded by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region designed for individuals who are far from the job market, with the aim of helping them develop or validate a career plan.

Erasmus Days, held every October, is the perfect opportunity to celebrate diversity and multiculturalism, spark curiosity, and inspire a desire for international experiences! This involves providing information, of course, but also hearing personal stories, sharing experiences, and indulging our taste buds… by discovering flavors from around the world. It’s also a chance to reflect on our ability to welcome those who come from elsewhere. A time to come together.
