A strong commitment to a more responsible sport

Edouard Cissé has joined Le Cercle Sport Management & Territoires with a clear goal: to take concrete action on issues that are important to him. Among these, regional sports development, equal opportunity, andthe transition of the professional sports system toward a more sustainable model are central priorities.

His joining Le Cercle marks a new phase in the collective discussion about the role of sports in society. More than just a forum for discussion, Le Cercle aims to be a hub for concrete initiatives, capable of fostering projects that are meaningful and impactful.

Initial steps have already been taken

Edouard’s visit has already laid the groundwork for the first concrete initiatives, which are the result of fruitful and engaging discussions with the members of the Cercle. These initiatives will be officially presented at a special event to be held on May 19, 2026, on the éklore Pau campus.

This event will take the form of a roundtable discussion, held as part of the cocktail reception for the “Active Regions: Sports and Recreation” conference. It will be a unique opportunity to share insights, exchange perspectives, and spark a discussion on the major challenges facing sports and recreation in local communities.

An inspiring meeting with the students

In addition to institutional exchanges, Edouard also took the time to introduce himself to a few students during a course on the sports environment. It was a brief but meaningful visit that underscored the importance placed on knowledge transfer, sharing experiences, and raising awareness among future professionals in the field.

These opportunities for interaction help stimulate students' thinking and expose them to the realities and current challenges of the sports world.

Toward a sustainable collective dynamic

Edouard’s arrival at Cercle Sport Management & Territoires is fully in line with éklore éducation’s commitment to fostering synergies among professionals, local communities, and students, and to actively contributing to the evolution of the sports sector.

The coming months promise to be filled with dialogue, projects, and initiatives, all with a shared goal: to build together a sport that is more inclusive, more sustainable, and deeply rooted in local communities.
